A stunning “3-DAY DESERT TOUR FROM FES TO MERZOUGA” awaits you as you embark on this journey. Explore the Middle Atlas Mountains while traveling via the villages of Ifrane and Azrou, which are both quite lovely.
While traveling through the picturesque Ziz Valley, make a stop at Erfoud to see the well-known fossil workshops that are located there. After arriving in Merzouga, you will go on a camel journey into the Sahara Desert, where you will camp out under the light of the stars and see a breathtaking dawn.
When you get back, take some time to see the towering cliffs of Tizi’N’Tanghomt. In this charming North African country, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of landscapes and cultures that Morocco has to offer, ranging from hilly terrains to the enormous Sahara.
Our driver will pick you up at your Fes accommodation for our 3-DAY DESERT TOUR FROM FES TO MERZOUGA. Our next stop is the Middle Atlas Mountains.
The first stop is the Atlas Lio Statue, built by a German prisoner to escape the French. To see monkeys, we’ll visit Azrou’s Cedar Tree Forest.
We’ll cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt for lunch. We’ll then visit the Sahara Desert and Tizi N’talghoumte Pass.
You’ll arrive in Merzouga late in the afternoon, and you’ll start your camel ride in the dunes’ center to watch the sunset. Dinner and night will be at camp.
Today we’ll explore Erg Chebbi. Going to Khamlia. Gnawa dances are performed throughout the community.We’ll cross the hamada to the village, where we’ll camp with Berber nomad families and enjoy tea.
Driving farther into the desert may expose additional seawater fossils in dry rock. Return to your hotel. Ride a camel over the Erg-Chebbi dunes.
A stunning sunset awaits. You may take photos and watch the sunset before traveling to the desert tent. Listen to local nomads perform Berber music beneath the stars after a nice supper. Overnight camping is planned.
Rise early to enjoy the desert morning. You’ll return to Merzouga by camel after breakfast. Return to Fes with our driver. Villagers sell vegetables, animals, traditional costumes, and cattle in the Risani market, where the tour begins.
Visit the local souk while here. Arfoud, noted for its petrified marbles, comes next. We’ll see cooperative fossils before heading to Ziz Valley for panoramic photos.
Midelt will serve lunch on schedule.Our next stop is Azrou, to shoot wild monkeys in the Cedarwoods. Continue to Fes via Ifrane. We’ll take you to your FES lodging.
